Don't be afraid, get creative!

If there's one thing I love doing, it's paring shorts with some tights and fun funky printed shoes to go along.  It's fun, edgy and says, "I'm not afraid to jump outside my comfort zone".  In translation, means "I'm confident, like to have fun and am not afraid of what others think."  Try to add a little variety to your wardrobe, think outside the box and get creative!

Sweater and shorts from H&M, tights from Target and boots are Victoria Secret.

August Birchbox Reveal

I am so excited to try some of the products that came in my Birchbox today.

Products are from left to right

- Harvey Prince I'm the scent "Irresistibly Wicked"

-  Party proof matte lipstick, model company and the color  is "Disco Fever".

- "Whish" exfoliating body scrub.  I absolutely love this brand, I ordered their shaving cream in the scent "blueberry" and loved it!!!  Can't wait to try this scrub.

-"Whish" deodorant swipe.  Can't wait to use this.  I think this is going to be very useful right after a gym session.  Easy and quick.

"Juice Beauty" oil free moisturizer.   I'm also a big fan of this line and excited to try this moisturizer as I tend to be very oily and love an oil free moisturizer,  Although the only thing I'm not excited about is that it doesn't contain an SPF and that is very important to me, so while using this I may have to use a separate SPF cream I'm conjunction with this.

Coconut Lime Tilapia and Spinach

Believe me when I say this dish will have your taste buds jumping for joy!  It's so amazing, you just won't believe that your eating spinach!  Yes, spinach.  There are so many benefits to eating spinach that you can find here.

What I love about tilapia is that it's about the lightest fish out there, next to halibut, but about half the price.  If you want to add something to your life to make it that much better, I would advise trying this

Ok, here we go......

What you will need
Zest of one lime
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 Tbls coconut oil, melted divided
2 tilapia fillets
4 cups fresh spinach
3 tbls fresh lime juice

1. Heat a medium frying pan over medium-high heat.  In a small bowl, combine lime zest, garlic, salt, pepper and 1tbls melted coconut oil.

2. Coat tilapia fillets with the oil mixture on both sides, place in pan and cook about 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.

3. In a large bowl, toss spinach with the remaining 1tbls melted coconut oil and 1 tbls lime juice.  I like saving just a little of the juice to pour over the fish as well.

Only 230 calories per serving (one cup spinach, one fish filet)
4 g carbs
11 g fat

Extremely healthy and amazingly delicious!!!!!!

Not Your Normal Brussels Sprouts

You know the saying "bacon makes everything better"?  Well, that's the complete truth when it comes to this dish! These are definitely not your normal brussel sprouts! They are so amazing that even your five year old would gobble these right up.   This dish is very simple to create and doesn't take much time at all.

Things Needed
2 cups finely chopped Brussels Sprouts (should appear like chopped lettuce)
5 pieces of bacon

First,  start of by cooking bacon until crispy and golden brown,  set aside.

Next,  in the same pan add shredded sprouts to heated bacon grease and cook for about 6-10 minutes, until tender.   (To save on calories, soak up a good portion of the bacon grease with a paper towel before adding Brussels sprouts. )  You really only need about 3-4 tbls.

And last, crumble bacon over Brussels sprouts, give it a toss and viola!  There you have it, a simple dish that will change how you view Brussels spouts forever.

Little White Dress

Trying to find that sexy little white dress.  Well, here you have it!  This dress is definitely on the top of my list as one of my favorite.  It hugs in all the right places, has the right amount of cutout on the sides, keeping this dress very classy, and one of the things I love most is the material.  It's nice and thick, so there is no reason to worry about anyone seeing through this dress!  Had a big dinner before heading out?  No need to worry,  the ruching effect does a wonderful job at hiding any bloating going on, as well as, allows you to shorten or lengthening the bottom of the dress to your desire.  You really can't go wrong with this dress, trust me, you will be comfortable all night long dancing the night away.
